THE DUO

Duo Mediterranea was founded through the artistic meeting of soprano Claudia Ceraulo and harpist Antonio Ostuni, two Italian musicians with international careers, united by a strong musical affinity and a shared sensitivity for the chamber repertoire.

The duo develops concert programs exploring the repertoire for voice and harp, ranging from opera and chamber music to the European vocal tradition. The encounter between the vocal line and the timbre of the harp creates an elegant and transparent sonic balance, enhancing both the lyrical dimension of the voice and the refinement of the instrumental writing.

The Mediterranean origins of the two artists — Sicily and Puglia — help shape the identity of the project: a musical dialogue between cultures, traditions and languages, where the European repertoire stands alongside vocal works drawn from a variety of musical traditions.

Duo Mediterranea appears in chamber recitals, festivals and concert series in Italy and abroad, presenting programs conceived for international concert settings.

The duo is currently working on its first recording project dedicated to the repertoire for voice and harp.
